
In Africa, the woman is esteemed highly. That is why marrying her requires something known as ‘bride price.’ It is given to her family, by the prospective husband; in form of gifts, an amount of money, or a number of livestock.

However, this is not the “measure” of her value, it is merely a “symbol” or sign of respect.
She is regarded as; a mediator, divine passage, or a “portal”, that transports new life from the spirit to the material world.

A woman’s womb, is regarded as the most sacred place on Earth. It is the vessel where human lifeform is conceived and shaped.

The man is considered as the seed of life, while the woman is considered as the portal of life. A man alone can have a house. But with a woman, together they make a home.
